Dr. Hancox has a wide range of training, many years of experience which facilitates her ability to connect with people’s inner desire to heal. Her ability to synthesize different approaches make her an effective healer. She also has a great sense of humor, but will spare you the corny jokes.
Her academic credentials are: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Massachusetts’s School of Professional Psychology, Boston MA, (renamed the William James College); Masters in Expressive Therapies, Leslie University, Cambridge MA; Bachelor of Fine Arts, painting and drawing, at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
She holds a Diplomate in Clinical Hypnosis, Utilization Approach; EMDR training levels I and II; Reiki Master/Teacher, Qualified PGSG Moving Form Instructor; trained in Pediatric Behavior Medicine, Geriatric Psychology, Family Therapy and Short Term Problem Solving Approaches; participated in a 400 hour Sound Therapy training, specific to AcutonicsTM . She has studied other approaches to Sound Healing as well, most notably with Randolph Masters, PhD.
Dr. Hancox has written a book- Subliminal Focusing; the Key to Performance, and two CD’s for deeper relaxation- Soaring above the Woods of Worry and Meditations.
Dr. Hancox is well travelled; speaks French, Spanish and Portuguese. She has also been known to sing improvisations at a local jazz club. And is a PADI certified open water diver.
